Dynamic Coalition on Emerging Tech Governance and Certification

Reimagining care through trust, data, and digital access - for everyone.

The Dynamic Coalition on Emerging Technologies (DC-ET) at the UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a multi-stakeholder initiative dedicated to ethical, secure, and inclusive governance of emerging technologies such as AI, biometrics, blockchain, IoT, quantum computing, and wearables.

As these technologies reshape society, DC-ET develops frameworks, governance models, and risk management strategies to help stakeholders navigate their complexities. Our focus is on balancing innovation with ethics, security, and accountability while fostering global collaboration.

Mission & Inclusion

DC-ET enables governments, organizations, and industries to adopt emerging technologies responsibly, aligning with the UN Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, SDGs, and the Global Digital Compact. We emphasize equitable access and ensure marginalized communities, including children, people with disabilities, and indigenous populations, benefit from technological advancements.

Key Focus Areas

  • Ethical Governance & Best Practices
  • Risk & Compliance Frameworks
  • Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration

Vision

We envision a sustainable, innovative, and inclusive future, where emerging technologies drive global progress while minimizing risks.

Our Impact: Projects Shaping the Future of Trustworthy Tech

The Dynamic Coalition on Emerging Tech Governance & Certification is not just about theory—we’re deploying real-world solutions that embody governance-by-design, equity, and technological interoperability. Our coalition’s work bridges policy and practice, from remote Indigenous communities to UN systems and global health innovators.

1. SAPIUS – A Personalized Health Information System (PHIS)

A next-generation digital health ecosystem integrating AI diagnosis, wearables, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), PHR (Personal Health Records), and telehealth.

  • Co-designed with Indigenous Nations to uphold data sovereignty, cultural intelligence, and health equity.
  • Enables early intervention, real-time monitoring, and patient-controlled data in remote and urban care.
  • Built on open standards for scalable interoperability.

“A patient’s health shouldn’t depend on their postal code. With The Personalized Health Information System, we’re making universal, intelligent care possible - on the patient’s terms.”

2. iPulse360 – Continuous Cardiac Monitoring Redefined

iPulse360 combines Myant’s smart textile garments with AI-powered analytics to detect and prevent cardiac events before they occur.

  • Piloted with global insurers and care providers.
  • Reinforces responsible AI use in high-stakes clinical environments.
  • Demonstrates how textile computing can replace hospital infrastructure - moving care to where people are.

“This is not a wearable. It’s a full clinical infrastructure wrapped around the human body.”

3. Virtual Hospital Beds - A New Standard in Care Capacity

Hospitals are out of beds, but the world isn’t out of solutions.

  • We are pioneering the world’s first standard for Virtual Hospital Beds.
  • Designed to extend care delivery beyond physical walls through digital triage, monitoring, and integrated EMRs.

“Virtual beds aren’t just a concept - they are the future of sustainable, patient-centered care.”

4. Indigenous-Led Digital Health Infrastructure

We are supporting the creation of the first-of-its-kind hospital built by Indigenous Peoples for Indigenous Peoples, underpinned by PHIS and co-governance frameworks.

  • Elevates sovereignty-first innovation in healthcare.
  • Blends modern technology with traditional knowledge.
  • Anchors the global standard for ethical, inclusive deployment of exponential tech.

“When Indigenous communities lead the design, we don’t just get better tech - we get better systems.”

5. RCCBC Collaboration – Reaching Rural Communities

Working with the Rural Coordination Centre of BC, we’re bringing PHIS and AI-powered decision support to underserved populations.

  • Piloting care coordination models that bridge silos across health, education, and social services.
  • Co-developing data trust infrastructure to empower local clinics and patients.
  • Demonstrating that rural health transformation can lead national reform.

These projects aren’t isolated. They’re part of a unified vision: to make governance, trust, and equity core features of emerging technologies, not afterthoughts.
